What I'm about, and why I do what I do.
About the guy who runs things...
My name is Derek Schneider. I started Feisty Goat Films in January of 2014, but have been working at this since 2010 when I enrolled in Bates Technical College for a degree in Broadcasting and Audio/Video Production.
I enrolled in Bates after finding out that my mother had been diagnosed with breast cancer, and realizing that life was too short to sit around and say "one day I'll do something amazing". I decided that it was time to make that day happen. I can't say that videography or production was what I had my sights set on when I enrolled, but after being in the program, I found my passion for it.
Since I started, I've had some amazing opportunities come my way, and I've done everything I could to make the most of each one of them. I've worked with some amazing people and have learned so much from them. I'm not done, though. There's so much more out there for me to learn and I want to absorb as much of that knowledge as I can, and use it to make even better videos for myself or my clients.
About Feisty Goat Films...
Feisty Goat Films is about making the world a better place through creativity. It's easy to get caught up in all the negativity that gets thrown at us on a daily basis, and to forget how awesome this world can be.
My goal with Feisty Goat Films is to create videos and take photos that make people forget about the crummy stuff, enjoy themselves for a few minutes, and hopefully take that positivity and spread it to those around them. Laughter and happiness are infectious, and I hope to spread them around through my work at Feisty Goat Films.
